Goal of the event:
The aim was to participate in a basketball match together with the Extremeña Basketball Federation in wheelchairs having people from the association Cocemfe (people with different disabilities) as viewers of the match.
Short description of the event:
We organized the match in collaboration with the Extremeña Basketball Federation in wheelchairs. I also spoke to the association Cocemfe (people with different disabilities) so that they could come and watch the match as their building is next door to the sports centre where we had the match. First, we played with them. We changed from time to time so that we all could participate and try how challenging it is to play basketball in a wheelchair. We played 4 x 4 and we learnt the rules for playing basketball in wheelchairs. People from Cocemfe watched the match and after that, they tried to throw the ball into the basket.
How did your event go?:
Fantastic! People from the Federation really enjoyed the match and also the Erasmus students as it was a big challenge for them as well. People from Cocemfe enjoyed a lot watching the match and throwing the ball into the basket later.
