Goal of the event:
The aim was to raise awareness on dyslexia. We wanted to show that how people suffering from dyslexia see and can not read the alphabet and the words with the help of a game.
Short description of the event:
First we created 2 groups so that there could be competition. After that, we handed everyone a paper, on which there were incomplete letters, so that they could see how people with dyslexia see letters. Then we showed papers one by one, on which there were words written in letters (not in their complete forms again). The person who managed to write the complete word won each turn. Thanks to the difficulties they experienced while trying to guess the correct form of the word, everyone had an idea that how a person with dyslexia sees letters. At the end of the game, we announced the winner group and gave a brief talk on dyslexia and on its facts to make the game more meaningful.
How did your event go?:
Everyone had fun when trying to find the correct form of the letters but it was also difficult to find letters. We believe that we reached our goal.
