Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
  • Make ESN Accessible
Goal of the event:
We organised this event in order to raise awareness about different kinds of disabilities. The goal was to make our Erasmus students have a different experience during their stay. In this way, they could see how disabled people still have fun and don't let their disabilities stand in their way.
Short description of the event:
Students gathered in a coffee shop where they got the assignement to paint their favorite part of Zadar. They were divided into two groups and they needed to help each other. However, they were restricted. They could not use their hands but all other body parts. In order to paint with brushes, they were mostly using their mouth. They needed to collaborate and guide each other.
The second activity consisted of playing darts, but blindfolded. Participants tried to score without using their eyes. ESN guided them to a certain distance where they tried to score. Most of participants found it very difficult and appreciated this opportunity where they could experience this situation.
How did your event go?:
It went really well. Participants felt challenged because they needed to use their other senses.
