Description
Aim of the event:
  • Promote mobility
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
During this event, we prepared games in which the Erasmus students raised together awareness about problems that disabled people have. We wanted to make them realize that even people with disabilities can have a great time, meet amazing people and of course do their Erasmus!
Short description of the event:
The Pub Crawl event took place on Thursday, the 23rd of March during the ExchangeAbility week. It started around 8:30 pm. We had a trip through 4 pubs in the city center of Zagreb and played different games in each pub. People were divided into 4 groups ( around 15 people in every group) and had their own two guides. Every hour they changed a bar. In every bar as I already mentioned they had different games. In the first one they played blindfolded beer pong - people were blindfolded and their friends help them to coordinate so the ball went into the cup. In the second pub they played "the whisper challenge" - the group needed to guess the word the player was trying to say without any noise. In the third one, they needed to paint a picture without their hands. So they choose to paint the picture with their mouth. In the last one, they played blindfolded flip the cup. They needed to flip the cup without seeing. They just had the help from their team members. The Pub Crawl ended around 1 am.
How did your event go?:
In our opinion this event went very well. In the future we would change the fact that maybe the people who didn't played the game had a main theme or problem to discuss about so we could improve and find a solution to the problem of disability, because together we can achieve so much more. The feedback from the Erasmus students was amazing. They knew that disability is a main problem and they were very supportive. They were discussing some main problems but in our opinion we could have done it much better! They told us also that this project is amazing and that they love that we are working for that kind of cause! We hope that we raised awareness among the Erasmus students and made them think.

How did they contribute to your event?:
In this event we had one girl who had a disability. She took also part in the Pub Crawl. We had ESN members who helped her walking around the pubs, because she has the disability of blindness. She took part in every game and had a lot of fun. Her feedback was wonderful, she was very happy that we made it possible to take her with us. She is a very communicative and warmhearted person! The most amazing part of it was, that other Erasmus students helped her out when she had problems. They accepted her no mater what her disability was.
