Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
Collaborate with associations with work with intellectually disabled people to raise awareness of what disabled people are able to do and promote an intercultural exchange between Erasmus students and disabled people.
Short description of the event:
An association which works with intellectually disabled people prepared a Modernist city tour through the city. So, as a reason to collaborate with different associations, we decided to join that city tour. The tour was carried out by a tour guide. However, along the tour, there were some small theatres that represented the history of the most emblematic buildings of the city. They were in charge of the disabled people of the association. Moreover, there were some games that they had prepared to carry out with the visitors. Our international students took part of all these leisure activities. Moreover, it was a Modernist photcall where we took pictures being dressed according to the Modernist period!
How did your event go?:
The activity liked a lot, above all the traditional games Astus had prepared. It is worthy to say, it was a nice day to enjoy a city tour through the city in charge of so special people.
For the next time, we will try to tell them exactly how many people would come to the event, since we had some problems due to the amount of people who attended the city tour.
