Goal of the event:
The goal of the event was to raise awareness about deafness in society, trying to make local and international students conscious about this phisical limitation having fun at the same time!
Short description of the event:
The second event organized by ESN Cagliari for the EA Week Spring 2017 was the Silent Karaoke on the 22nd of March 2017. The main theme was the sensitivity over the auditivity disability in which the partipants were involved in an activity about music: the karaoke. We met the Erasmus students in one of our partner space where the guys took the challenge singing song with another difficulty: they could not listen their own voice neither the base of the song.
For this reason we provided hearphones used during the performance in order to impede the development of the activity like a able-bodied person.
They realized how difficult could be a daily and simple activity as singing if it’s performed by a person with disabilities but by having fun and spending a nice evening in company.
How did your event go?:
Everything was good and everyone was happy to be there and participate.
